With a Cuban Rueda Class at 7.30pm, this is a Cuban salsa class where people dance in a circle and change partners, good fun. The class will be suitable for total beginners. A new Rueda class starts soon in May so this will give you a taster.

There is also a free Taster Bachata Class , 8.15-8.45pm for anyone who is coming along to the social. Bring along friends & they can learn the basic Bachata steps to kick start the evening.

Followed by dancing to salsa and bachata music with a touch of kizomba & merengue from 8.45pm till midnight.

This venue has a large dance floor, please pass the word. Come in the front door & the function room is upstairs. There is a licensed bar, which is also CASH ONLY, please support the venue and purchase drinks.

NEW Latin Quarter Beginners Salsa class starting Tuesday 6th May, 6.15-7.15pm, at The Deaf Hub, Old Mill, 23, Brown St, Dundee. DD1 5EF, 

Can join first 2 weeks only.

8 week block pass £35 or £5 per class weekly. CASH ONLY. Beginners class dancers please come 10 to 15 min early to register & pay.

Classes are progressive, anyone welcome, no partner necessary.

Please note : there is no car parking outside the deaf hub (may get a parking ticket), best to park on Brown street.

Casual clothes are fine and best to wear shoes with a slippy sole , like a leather sole but fit securely on feet though. Although most regular shoes are fine. 

The other 2 higher level classes will start back on 6th May aswell, after 2 weeks holiday.

7.25pm Improver/ Intermediate CB salsa

8.20pm Cuban Rueda

These classes run continuously and not in blocks of classes. £30 for any 6 classes ticket or £6 a class CASH only.

With a Merengue Class at 7.30pm to get us started.   The class will be suitable for total beginners and those with experience.   Merengue is a fun, easy dance from  Dominican Republic, and sometimes played at socials so it's good to learn a few basic steps/ moves.

There is also a free Taster Salsa Class , 8.15-8.45pm for anyone who is coming along to the social. Bring along friends & they can learn the basic Salsa steps to kick start the evening.

The evening will start with a Bachata Fusion Class at 7.30pm. The class will be suitable for total beginners and for improvers. Bachata fusion is a mix of moderna, sensual and traditional (dominican) bachata. Bachata is often played at the socials so it's good to learn a few steps/ moves.

Christmas Charity Latin Quarter Social - feel free to come in festive attire ! 🎄🌲

Tuesday 10th December @ the Deaf Hub, Old Mill, 23, Brown St, Dundee, DD1 5EF.

7pm -7.45pm -  Our usual Christmas Rueda de Casino silliness ! Rueda is a cuban wheel dance, the class will give you a taster of Rueda, beginners welcome.  We'll learn a few basic steps and some festive moves !   

7.45pm-8.30pm  -Mens & Ladies Styling class- this is a short choreo of steps/moves for men and ladies with styling. 

8.30- 10.30pm - Social latin dancing (Salsa, Bachata & abit of Kizomba/ merengue music) with Christmas party games, a raffle and mince pies !  Raffle donations always gratefully appreciated.

 No dance experience necessary in advance for the classes, come along and have some festive fun and help raise money for the children at Azul Wasi , small home in Peru. Please pass the word amongst family and friends. 🌲

Rueda class only - £4, Styling class only £4 , Social only £3, combo ticket  for all 3 is £8.  

CASH ONLY please.  

There will be NO bar but you can bring your own drinks including alcoholic ones. There should be a few snacks and soft drinks on sale in room next door.
